Webinar: fix stalled submissions, claims, and onboarding

Join this webinar to learn how you can reduce the cognitive burden on your teams, eliminate manual work, and achieve meaningful results in the areas that matter most to insurance carriers.

The insurance industry is saturated with complex processes that have long resisted automation. While many insurtech solutions promise transformation, they often fall short, offering rigid tools or “black box” AI that fails to address core operational challenges. This leaves carriers struggling with fragmented workflows, a lack of transparency, and mounting pressure on their teams with a never-ending backlog.

This webinar, presented by Kognitos and Indium, will explore a fundamentally different approach that delivers tangible business outcomes in insurance. We’ll demonstrate how our interpretable and adaptable AI platform moves beyond the limitations of traditional automation to transform the future of insurance operations, including:

  • Boost Underwriter Capacity by up to 4x: Free up 60-70% of an underwriter’s day from administrative tasks, increasing daily submission throughput from just 2-3 to 8-10.
  • Slash Claim Cycle Times: Reduce claim registration from an average of 7-14 days to mere minutes and cut costly submission error rates by up to 40%.
  • Accelerate Agent Onboarding: Transform a multi-week, document-heavy process into a streamlined, automated workflow that gets agents productive faster.

Join us to learn how you can reduce the cognitive burden on your teams, eliminate manual work, and achieve meaningful results in the areas that matter most. This session will provide a clear roadmap to leveraging transparent AI for tangible ROI, perfectly timed to inform your strategy ahead of ITC Las Vegas – schedule a custom demo at booth #454 with Kognitos and Indium.

What does the Beyond the Backlog webinar cover?

Binny Gill (Founder & CEO, Kognitos) and the Indium partner team walk through how agentic AI is finally fixing the three biggest backlog drivers in insurance: streamlining underwriting and submissions, transforming claim registration, and accelerating complex producer / agent onboarding. The session is framed for carriers, MGAs, agents and brokers, and the BPO and shared-services organisations supporting them.

Roughly 80% of the information that drives insurance workflows still lives in unstructured form: emails, ACORD forms, attached PDFs, loss runs, broker notes and contracts. Traditional RPA cannot reliably read it, and humans cannot scale to read all of it during demand spikes. The result is submission, claim and onboarding queues that grow faster than headcount, especially during catastrophe seasons and renewal peaks.

Chief underwriting officers, heads of claims and onboarding, VPs of distribution and producer management at carriers; MGA and broker operations leaders; and the BPO and shared-services heads that run insurance back-office for multiple carriers. IT, security and compliance leaders evaluating AI controls in regulated insurance environments will also get value.

Binny addresses the maths directly: a process where each step is 98% accurate compounds to roughly 36% end-to-end accuracy over 50 steps. That is why a hallucinating LLM-only solution will never work for insurance. Kognitos enforces deterministic policy step-by-step and raises any low-confidence step as a plain-English exception. Net effect is 100% governed accuracy on critical decisions, with humans only on the genuinely ambiguous cases.

An incoming submission email and its attachments are read by a Kognitos agent: ACORDs, loss runs, financials and broker notes are extracted into structured fields, classified for appetite, scored for risk, and either routed to the correct underwriter with a complete summary or declined per written policy. The underwriter sees a one-page brief instead of a 47-page attachment, and every decision is auditable.

Yes. The session highlights the Indium partnership as one example: the SI brings domain depth and customer relationships; Kognitos provides the platform and the symbolic / deterministic layer that lets the SI assemble bespoke solutions in 24-48 hours instead of months. Kognitos also works with the major global SIs (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, Accenture, Wipro, Infosys) and regional automation specialists under a formal partner program.

The webinar references a real customer evaluation where a first solution was demonstrated within 48 hours of receiving sample documents and refined within 24 hours after that. Production rollouts typically deliver measurable ROI inside the first 90 days, with submission and claim queues compressing dramatically as the agent absorbs the highest-volume, lowest-judgement work.

Both speakers agree: it is not the technology, it is the human and cultural side. The biggest unlock is training the existing workforce to design, supervise and trust agentic AI. To that end Kognitos and partners run a certification course and an Academy program so insurance teams can build internal capability rather than depending entirely on external consultants charging $400 an hour for traditional integration work.

Kognitos is SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, ISO 27001 and HIPAA-aligned, with all controls evidenced at trust.kognitos.com. Customer documents and decisions are never used to train upstream foundation models. Data residency in the US, EU and APAC, full RBAC and identity integration (Azure AD / Entra, Okta, Google Workspace), and immutable plain-English audit logs are standard.

Pick one specific queue with the worst SLA pain (for example new-business submissions in a particular product line, or producer license verifications) and bring 20-50 representative samples to a Kognitos and partner scoping call. A pilot is typically scoped in days, with a working agent against your samples in 48 hours and a production rollout decision inside one quarter.
