TypeSafe AI Meets Audit-Proof Finance, a live Kognitos AI for Finance webinar on Wednesday October 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM PT, 60 minutes

About this session

Open your AR collections inbox on any Monday. There is a customer saying they will pay invoice 40721 on the 15th. Another says invoice 40733 has the wrong PO number. A third wants proof of delivery before releasing payment. Someone on your team reads each email, decides what it is, updates the ERP, and moves on. Hundreds of times a week.

That person is making a judgment call every time, and nobody writes down why. So when an auditor asks why a dispute was closed, or why dunning stopped on an account, your team goes digging through email threads to rebuild the answer.

AI can read those emails faster than any person. The harder question is what happens when it is unsure, and whether you can show an auditor what it did. That is what this session is about.

We will take one AR email and follow it all the way through: Jev reads it and says how sure it is, your rules decide what happens next, and every step gets written down so an auditor can follow it later. No slides about the future of AI. Just one workflow, start to finish.

What you will see live

One real email through the whole process, live.

An email arrives. "Hi, invoice 40721 is approved and will be paid on the 15th. Invoice 40733 has the wrong PO number, please reissue."

Jev reads it and makes a call. Jev splits the email into two items and labels each one with a confidence score: invoice 40721 as a payment commitment due the 15th, and invoice 40733 as a dispute over a PO mismatch.

Your rules decide what happens next, written in plain English. If it is a payment commitment above your confidence threshold, record the promise-to-pay date and pause reminders until then. If it is a dispute, open a case, attach the email, and assign it to the AR owner for that customer. If confidence falls below the threshold, send it to the review queue with Jev's top two guesses.

A person handles the unclear cases. A reviewer opens the queue, sees the suggestion, and confirms or corrects it in one click. That choice is recorded too.

The audit trail. Click any invoice and see its full history: the original email, what Jev decided and how sure it was, the rule that fired, who reviewed it, and what changed in the ERP.

Then the week at a glance: how many emails came in, how many were handled automatically, how many needed a person, and the time and cost per item compared with doing it by hand.

How the session runs

60 minutes, structured for finance leaders.

  • 0 to 5 min. Framing the speed versus audit trade-off.
  • 5 to 25 min. Live demo, one AR email from inbox to ERP update, with the audit trail.
  • 25 to 40 min. The week at a glance: volume, exceptions, time and cost per item.
  • 40 to 50 min. Customer or partner perspective on control and economic outcomes.
  • 50 to 60 min. Q&A.

What you will leave with

You can stay in control. Nothing happens that you cannot explain. Every threshold is yours to set, and every action traces back to a rule you wrote in plain English. When the auditor comes, your team is not reconstructing anything. It is already written down.

The math works. Cases clear faster and cost less. Your people spend their time on the calls that need judgment instead of the ones a confident model already handled, and you can watch the exception rate drop week over week with the numbers to back it up.

The AR Audit-Readiness Checklist. Register and we will send you a one-page checklist: the four questions an auditor will ask about any decision your automation makes. What decided this, and on what basis? How sure was it, and what was the bar it had to clear? Did a person review it, and when? Where is the record, and can you pull it up on request? Run your current AR or close process against it and see where you stand.

Common questions about this session

When is it?
Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM PT. The session runs 60 minutes.
What will I see live?
One AR email taken from inbox to ERP update, start to finish. Jev reads the email and scores how confident it is, your plain-English rules decide what happens next, a reviewer handles anything below your threshold, and the full audit trail is shown on screen for each item.
Who is this for?
Controllers and Assistant Controllers, CFOs and VPs of Finance, heads of Record-to-Report and Order-to-Cash, F&A Shared Services and GBS leaders, and Internal Audit and Compliance leaders responsible for close and collections governance.
What happens when the AI is not sure?
It does not act. Each decision carries a confidence score, and you set the bar it has to clear. Anything below the threshold goes to a review queue with the top suggestions attached, and the reviewer's choice is recorded alongside the original decision.
Will there be a recording?
Yes. The recording goes out the same afternoon to everyone who registers, whether or not you attend live.
What do registrants get?
The AR Audit-Readiness Checklist, a one-page list of the four questions an auditor will ask about any decision your automation makes, plus the same-day recording.
