Two more Gartner research publications name Kognitos: one on neurosymbolic AI as a route to governing agentic systems, the other on the agent archetypes enterprises are actually deploying.

Two more pieces of independent analyst recognition, and between them they describe the same problem from two directions: enterprises can build agents, and then cannot govern them well enough to put them into production.

On neurosymbolic AI and governance

The first publication, Neurosymbolic AI, a Shortcut to Agentic Systems Governance, examines neurosymbolic AI in the context of governing agentic systems.

Kognitos is listed among the vendors for which neurosymbolic AI is a core product focus rather than a component of a broader stack, with finance, procurement, legal, healthcare, logistics and supply chain among the use cases named for us.

That distinction is the one we care about. Neurosymbolic execution is not a feature we added to a probabilistic platform; it is the architecture the platform is built on. The model interprets the instruction, and a deterministic symbolic executor performs the action, which is what makes a run reproducible and a control testable.

On agent archetypes and process agents

The second publication, 3 AI Agent Archetypes, separates the kinds of agents enterprises are deploying, among them process agents: the ones that run a defined business process end to end rather than assisting an individual.

That use case is a fair test of the category. KYC onboarding is high volume, heavily regulated, and dominated by exceptions: documents that arrive in the wrong format, entities that do not resolve cleanly, checks that need a judgment rather than a lookup. How this maps to the platform
