  • Pull any additional data from connected systems needed to complete the workflow
3

Post Results to Teams

FAQ

Microsoft Teams automation questions.

What can I automate between Kognitos and Microsoft Teams?

In-chat approvals, exception handling routed to humans, status notifications, meeting summaries, ticket triage from messages, scheduled stand-up reports, and conversational data lookups. Kognitos reads messages and channel files, applies your written rule, and replies in the channel or DM with cards, buttons, and audit links.

Through the Microsoft Graph API and a Teams app published from the Teams Admin Center. You consent to the required scopes (chat.read/write, files, teams), and Kognitos can subscribe to channel and chat events via Graph change notifications. SSO uses Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

Yes. When an automation hits an ambiguous case (an invoice over a threshold, a refund without a receipt, a policy exception), Kognitos posts an adaptive card to the right person or channel. Their reply, Approve, Reject, or a comment, is captured deterministically, logged with the decision-maker's identity, and resumes the automation.

Kognitos is SOC 2 Type II, encrypts data in transit and at rest, and stores Graph tokens in a managed secret vault. Permissions follow least privilege; Teams messages and files are processed in-tenant and never used for model training. A full audit trail captures every read, post, and human approval.
